Nigel Serafini

I have followed Falkirk FC for over 56 years – the 1969/70 season was when I was hooked – if you weren’t at the 7-5 game v QOS, look it up! I also travelled to see them play all over Europe – well, Portugal, Holland and of course Liechtenstein! As a passionate and long-standing supporter, I have witnessed several highs, but far too many lows. I fully share and understand fans frustration of the wilderness years and will continue to work to the best of my abilities to improve and re-build what is a great club.

I was Managing Director of Lothian Buses prior to retirement in Sept 2022, with over 42 years’ experience in the transport sector, predominantly in a Commercial role. I led Lothian Buses on strategic investments, new business opportunities and behavioural change, communicating from the shop floor to business leaders, stakeholders, shareholders and politicians.

Having retired has allowed me to commit time and energy to bring about meaningful change and improved dialogue with you the support and lifeblood of our club.

Stuart Adam

Stuart is from Grangemouth, currently lives in Falkirk and has had a 36-year career in the Diplomatic Service and Scottish Government, including postings to London, Germany, China, Austria, Turkey, India, and Iraq. Stuart is committed to fan ownership, having been involved with the old BairnsTrust and a co-founder and early Chair of the Falkirk Supporters’ Society, Stuart believes that Falkirk fans, having stuck by the club through the tough times, deserve to enjoy many more seasons like the Invincibles and B2B Champions.

A Falkirk fan since the 1970’s his first job at the club was selling programmes and 50:50 tickets on the Hope Street Bridge. Now 55, Stuart is married to Lesley, and has two grown-up children, Ruby and Will, who are also both passionate Bairns. Stuart joined the club board in late 2024 and will now represent the FSS membership alongside Nigel.

FSS Board Members

Douglas Peters

Chair

A solicitor by profession, Douglas began supporting the Bairns shortly after he moved to Falkirk in 2006. He is a season ticket holder and tries to attend every home match. After joining the Board in 2023 he wrote the FSS article in the match programme for a year, before taking up the post of Treasurer. He became FSS Chair after the 2025 AGM.

Douglas is actively involved in the local community and prior to his appointment as FSS Chair he had held the post of Secretary and/ or Treasurer in several local sporting and charitable organisations.

He is grateful for the opportunity to lead the FSS and to help it to continue on its journey as a strong voice for all fans of Falkirk FC.

Anna O’Donnell

Vice Chair

Anna has been a member of the Board for three years. She has been a Falkirk supporter for over 15 years and has a keen interest in supporter engagement and experience. In her professional life, she is a solicitor based in Glasgow. Her previous experience includes work with the Scottish FA’s Youth Congress where she led on projects related to supporter engagement with the women’s national team and the supply of free period products at Hampden Park.

Jeff Logan

Treasurer

I joined the Board in 2024 as a co-opted member before becoming an elected member of the committee later that year. I’m also on the Governance Membership working stream.

I’ve been going to Falkirk games since the era of Wullie Whigham in goal and Sammy Wilson up front! Early years with my father and currently with my own family, including my grandkids. Been through the hard times and the not so hard times! A season ticket holder for many years and an individual shareholder.

Having worked in many industries over the year, including the Dyes and BP, before setting up my own consultancy businesses in the financial sectors. Now fully retired and enjoying working in the voluntary sector, helping the FSS and its members to provide a voice in the running of our club & in supporting a successful team on the park.

John Fleming

Membership Secretary

John was brought up and still lives in the Braes area of Falkirk with his wife, son, daughter and westie, Bonnie. All his family are Falkirk supporters. John  worked at BP/Ineos since he was 16 and is now retired, and he has been a season ticket holder for an unspecified number of decades! John stood for many a year in the South Enclosure at Brockville and attended games home and away regularly over the years. Having been to 3 major cup finals and endured all the various highs and lows during that time, John hopes that by participating in the FSS, he can help in some way making the good times supporting Falkirk outnumber the less enjoyable times.

Valerie Wells

Secretary

I come from a family of Falkirk fans.  My Dad, my brothers and I have travelled home and away for many years supporting Falkirk.

I’ve enjoyed the lows and the fantastic highs that are part and parcel of being a Bairn.

I’ve recently retired from the University of Glasgow, where I worked as an information scientist. With more free time I felt able to join the Board and contribute towards the continuing success of the FSS.

Fans are the heart of any club and the FSS is an essential partner in making their voices heard. COYB !

Jim Millar

Comms & Engagement Sub-Group Leader

Jim started heading to games with his Dad and two younger brothers in the first season at The Falkirk Stadium and has been a season ticket holder ever since – fond memories of the early days up the back of the gazebo! These days it will be the KM7 Stand at home and trips with Elliots away that you are most likely to see him.

A recent graduate in Politics and Social Policy, and currently working in Local Government, Jim has taken up a role within the Board helping with communications and engagement.

Holding a real belief that the fans are the single most important part of a football club, and with the Falkirk Supporters Society offering a vehicle for our voices to be heard, he wants to help ensure they are at the forefront of shaping the club.

Charlene Honey

Marketing & Events

I started going to Falkirk games at Brockville when I was 11 years old and a cheerleader. One of the Bairns Babes, I loved going along on a Saturday and dancing on the pitch, cheering the team on and being part of the crowd. I now attend games with my other half and son and we have recently had another Junior Bairn to add to our family and no doubt to our future fans. I’ve enjoyed getting involved with FSS and I’m keen to support the Board on future planning to keep building up the community of fan owners who are making a positive impact on our club.

Ian Park

Governance & Membership

I have supported Falkirk since 1971 and stood as a boy in the South Enclosure at Brockville before graduating to the Railway End.  I worked in the IT industry for 30 years and used these skills volunteering to help the Club recently complete their digital transformation project. My role on the FSS Board is focused on marketing, promoting membership across the UK and further afield internationally.

Kevin Beattie

Supporters Liaison Officer

My current role which I thoroughly enjoy doing is to represent the club as the SUPPORTERS LIAISON OFFICER. I’ve been a fan since 1977 and never looked back and been fortunate to have been involved in multiple positions over the years. These roles have included Coaching our Community teams over a decade, Scouting for the academy, Director for a short period of time and now the SSL role that I have been doing now for the last couple of years.  I can assure you that there is never a dull moment, however the highlight this season has been helping the Ultras with their successful project this season. Onwards and upwards towards the Premier League.

Derek Carswell

Marketing & Events Sub-Group Leader & Website

Derek joined the FSS in 2021 and was elected onto the committee in April 2025 where he volunteered to be Sub Group Lead for the Society Marketing & Events Team.  Working in the Oil & Gas industry for over 35 years, Derek is a highly motivated person that likes to get things done so hopes to make a difference assisting the FSS to become a sustainable organisation and watch Falkirk FC flourish because of it.

“My dad took me to any football match every Saturday when he was not working so we attended Brockville, Ochilview & Firs Park watching the local based teams.  We stood on the Hope Street terrace at Brockville and that’s where I began my Falkirk journey, the year we won the old Scottish 2nd Division in 1979-80.  My first ‘real’ away match was to see Falkirk play St Johnstone @ Muirton Park in 1980.  Was great at Brockville in 1991 seeing Stainrod on the table with the trophy and more recently the Invincibles & B2B squads but I’ve also had the misfortune to be at the 1997 & 2015 Scottish Cup Final defeats (missed the 2009 final due to holiday).  Been through some highs & lows in that 45 years and have seen us play at 38 of the current 42 League Grounds in Scotland.”
