Our long-awaited return to the Premiership after 15 years was made even more special thanks to an incredible effort from Gate 20 Falkirk, who organised their biggest-ever TIFO to mark the occasion. On behalf of the Falkirk Supporters Society, we want to thank everyone involved in creating such a powerful display – a moment that perfectly captured the pride and passion of the Bairns support.
That same backing has already been clear in the games that followed against Livingston and Celtic, and it reverberates through the rest of support to create an incredible atmosphere. This will continue to be so important as the season progresses. As we have over the last two years, we can and will come together and provide that extra push for this side.

“The 3rd August marked our long-awaited return to the Scottish Premiership after 15 years away. To honour the occasion, Gate 20 Falkirk organised our biggest-ever TIFO, involving fans across both the Kevin McAllister Stand and the Main Stand. It was also a special moment for us as a group, as it was our first match back under a new name.
At the end of last season, Falkirk fans raised an incredible £10,000 for the group — something we’re truly grateful for. This is exactly the kind of initiative your support makes possible. The full display, including materials, paint, shipping, and other costs, came to around £3,500. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to involve as many fans as possible, and we’re already planning more TIFOs throughout the season — now with even greater ambition.
We wanted this display to reflect both the struggles and the success of the journey back to the top. That’s why the banner read “15 Years in the Making”, held beneath the Falkirk badge with our back-to-back trophies on either side. It flowed into the main stand message: WE’RE BACK — in bold navy blue and gold, fitting colours as the team walked out to a full stadium singing “Champions Again, Ole Ole.”
The banner and TIFO in the Kevin McAllister Stand were hand-painted. We used a projector to trace the design onto material taped to a wall, outlining letters and shapes before labelling each section by colour. After that, we laid it out on dust sheets and painted it in full.
For the Main Stand display, we used an Excel seating plan to colour-code every seat, spelling out “We’re Back” across four sections on either side of the tunnel — a perfect fit. With a team of about 25, we spent the evening before and the morning of the match placing cards on over 6,000 seats. In total, the entire project took two weeks, including our new Gate 20 Falkirk banner and a few others still to come.
We’re thrilled with how it all came together and grateful to every fan who played a part last Sunday. We can’t wait for the season ahead – and to keep creating displays that match the passion of the Falkirk support.
