It’s the return of derby day at the Falkirk Stadium following an exceptional performance under the lights last Friday night! Now that the Bairns have played all of the teams in the league, it is amazing to see the club sitting top of the table.
Earlier this month we launched our Youth Membership. We have had an amazing response and have had over 90 young members sign up! This is a fantastic way to allow our younger supporters to become part of the fan ownership journey. Any under-16 can be signed up here.
At our members meeting on 1 September 2023 it was agreed that a mechanism which allowed the FSS to continue to contribute funds to the club, whilst retaining the ability to secure our shareholding in the event of a future share issue, should be explored. The FSS committee presented to the board a nil paid/part paid share option, which has been accepted in principle. This proposal protects the FSS 25.1% shareholding voting rights after any future share issue and would prevent any shareholding dilution. The board have come back to the committee with a mechanism on how this will work within the articles of FFC and this is broadly acceptable to the FSS committee. We will look to share this with members for their thoughts, but if there is a FSS member who has a background in company law who could help us review the proposal before we circulate, this would be very much appreciated.
