Derby day success has kicked off an exciting run of home fixtures. Today we welcome Greenock Morton to the Falkirk Stadium as we seek to extend our good run of form. It was great to see another sold out home end last Saturday, and to hear from the manager and the team how much this means to them.
Last weeks’ Falkirk FC AGM allowed us a moment to celebrate the success of the fan ownership project. FSS now own 26% of all shares in Falkirk FC, making us the largest single shareholder. It is vital that we seek to protect this shareholding. To do so, the committee have presented to the club board a nil paid/part paid share option, which has been accepted in principle. This proposal protects the FSS shareholding voting rights after any future share issue and would prevent any dilution of the shareholding. The board have come back to the committee with a mechanism on how this will work within the articles of FFC and this is broadly acceptable to the FSS committee. We have shared this with members as part of the monthly newsletter for their thoughts. Please contact us at admin@falkirksupporters.org or via our social media channels.
Sadly, we have had to reschedule our Fundraiser Party Night due to be held on 8 November 2024 to 16 May 2025. All tickets purchased for the event will remain valid for the new date. If any ticketholder cannot make the new date, then tickets are refundable via Skiddle. If you have any issues, please do not hesitate to get in touch. We hope to see you all at the rescheduled date come the end of the season!
As our organisation continues to grow, we face new challenges in managing and running FSS. Our committee would always welcome any volunteers who feel they have experience or time to assist with the organisation. Being a part of the FSS committee is a great opportunity to get involved in the fan ownership project. Anna has been a member of the committee since 2021. She says: “Being a member of the committee has been a great honour. The rest of the team are incredibly supportive and it is amazing to feel like you are contributing even slightly to supporting the club through such a successful spell. I would encourage anyone who has some spare time to contact the committee.”
If you are not already a member of FSS, it would be great to have you on board! Signing up is straightforward. The preferred method of payment is by Standing Order. Please ensure that your name is shown when setting up the Standing Order and at the same time email us at subscriptions@falkirksupporters.org with your full name, preferred email address, first payment date and donation amount. If you are a current member, and can afford it, then we would be very grateful if you would consider increasing your contributions.
