Today we are back in Scottish Cup action as we take on familiar adversaries, Raith Rovers. We all hope it will be a repeat of our last time out against Rovers and that we can carry that forward as we face them again next week in Kirkcaldy.
Last time out saw debut performances from Barney Stewart and Eamonn Brophy. We also eagerly await seeing how Ross Munro and Darragh O’Connor get on at the club. The contributions of our members have consistently helped to make sure the club has the resources available to welcome exciting talent to this exceptional team.
In the past week we have announced an exclusive FSS members’ event: An Evening with John & Paul. This event sold out within a matter of hours. We are very excited to welcome members to the event to hear from the managerial team about their coaching journeys and to take part in a Q&A. This event will also serve as a fundraiser for Strathcarron Hospice so we ask those lucky members who secured tickets to be prepared to donate on the night. We also have some fantastic prizes for our half-time raffle!
It has been a busy few weeks for our members as they have also had the opportunity to have their say and choose the new home and away retro strips to be released by the club. The winning designs were:
Home: 90/91 Spall Beazer Homes
Away: 95/96 Matchwinner Beazer Homes
Keep your eyes peeled for a spring release of these kits, and we look forward to seeing you sporting them in the stands!
2024 saw our shareholding grow to 25.17%. We would like to place on record our thanks to all shareholders who have donated shares to the Society. A long-term aim of the Committee is for the FSS to be the home for small shareholders. If you are interested in making a share donation, please contact us at admin@falkirksupporters.org
The FSS Committee have considered various options to address protecting our percentage shareholding in the event of a future share issue. The favoured option is a Part Paid/Nil Paid option which was presented to members in our most recent newsletter. An FSS member with a background in company law has generously volunteered to review this proposal to help ensure that it will meet the needs of FSS before this is formally agreed. For any member looking for more details on the proposal, please check your emails for our newsletter.
The FSS Committee are always looking for more feedback from our members, particularly on what focus the FSS should have and ideas for improving how the Society is run. If you have anything you wish to suggest, please get in touch at admin@falkirksupporters.org
We now have only 81 members who subscribe through PayPal. The FSS has moved away from this platform and if members do not switch to Standing Order (or Total Tickets if overseas) you will drop from our membership. Over the last year, we have lost over 100 members whose PayPal subscriptions have ended and they have not moved to a new platform. Don’t let this happen to you! You can set up a minimum £10 monthly Standing Order with the bank details contained below.
If you are not already a member of the FSS, it would be great to have you on board! Signing up is straightforward. The preferred method of payment is by Standing Order. Please ensure that your name is shown when setting up the Standing Order and at the same time email us at subscriptions@falkirksupporters.org with your full name, preferred email address, first payment date and donation amount.
If you are a current member, and can afford it, then we would be very grateful if you would consider increasing your contributions.
